Another Paradise

Well like Tisa said Bali is 1 of beautifull island here, but there's a lot of more beautifull island aound Indonesia where still natural and not so populate bu human being. But I must admitt that Bali manage their culture & nature well for mass tourism, but for people who like alternative travelling and also not yet advance on this kind travelling maybe Karimunjawa island is the best place to try.
It's on the north of Java island (Central Java Province), from Semarang you can use fast boat (2 times a week-80.000 rupiah/around 7 Euros) directly to Karimunjawa island and it takes 3 half hours.
Believe me you can't reject this island, it's so perfect with active children everywhere ( I thought they are too active :P) and most homestay owner really helpfull to arrange our travell, but some of them want to take advantage more as usual (usually to foreigners) but I got lucky to know the founder of homestay in this island and his service was so perfect (his name is Mr. Arif). 1 day homestay+3 times meal only 60.000 rupiah / 5 Euros.

Most of travell that visitors like are diving or snorkeling, and the sea is so blue.
Karimunjawa area surround by 27 island so we can visit 1 or 2 island during the day to have lunch or just visit and relax there (sunbathing not popular here coz we have already brown :P)

white beach

And we can end the day with beautifull sunset like this

Hi!
My name is Andy... I just found your blog and I read the article about Karimunjawa... I am very impressed about your report. I will visit Indonesia this summer and i also plan to spend a few days in Karimunjawa. So i have some questions:

+ what was the name of your homestay?
+ can u also dive in Karimunjawa if i am not living in the big resort?
+ are there good restaurants arround (and cheap)
+what is the overall pricelevel?
+ anything i should see or do when on Kariminjawa?

Thanks alot for your info!!!
Greetings from Austria!

Andy
